What We’re doing in 2016

  1. November and December finished out our 2015 year at Brazos Bend State Park near Houston, TX, departing New Year’s Eve to our next hosting job in Louisiana. We enjoyed hosting with our full time friends, Cliff and Cyndy. They were with us in Alaska and joining us in Louisiana.
  2. We are confirmed volunteers at Black Bayou National Wildlife Refuge, 3 miles from Monroe, LA for January & February 2016. Cliff and Cyndy will stay on through March as we travel back to Colorado.
  3. Stopping for a brief visit in Stephenville, TX to visit Ed’s sister Alice and family. Then on to Rolling Retreats in Elk City, OK where we bought our trailer, stopping for a few maintenance repairs.
  4. We will bounce around northern Colorado and Gillette, Wyoming to visit friends and family in March through May. Attend David Kamin and Bride Christine’s wedding before heading to Oregon on Memorial Day.  BUT…the trailer detached and damaged the truck bed and put a couple rips in the fiberglass trailer front. Our Oregon trip was delayed about 3 weeks. We stayed with Cheri in Loveland during repairs.
  5. June 24 through August takes us to Big Creek fish hatchery near Astoria Oregon. We’ll serve as volunteer there until we’re ready to head back to Colorado for another visit in September & October.
  6. We pull our 5th wheel to Mesa, AZ in November with plans to stay through the winter there.
